HELEN ELAINE GRIFFIN

Funeral services for Helen Elaine Griffin, 69, of Rosevine, will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 in Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating. She passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023 at her residence.

Helen was born January 14, 1954 in Pineland, Texas to Henry Edgar Sunderland and Pearl Bass Sunderland. She was a lifelong resident of Sabine County and had worked in nursing as a CNA for Twin Lakes Nursing Home for 20 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and playing with her dogs, Layla and Molly. She also enjoyed going to casinos.

Helen is survived by her husband of 53 years, Paul Griffin of Rosevine; son, Micheal Paul Griffin of Pineland; daughters, Pamela Jo Pike and husband, Jason, of Hardin and Paula S. Lyons and husband, Mike, of San Augustine; grandchildren, Tyler Pike, Brady Pike, Jhase Griffin, Jordan Griffin and Seth Stephens, and Jaden Griffin; great grandson, Wynston; and granddaughter on the way, Parker.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

Burial will follow services in Gravel Hill Cemetery with Marty Griffin, Tyler Pike, Jhase Griffin Seth Stephens, Ronny Fuller and Rusty "Goby" Fuller serving as pallbearers.
