Funeral services for Carol Louise Ferguson, of Rosevine, were held Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Rosevine United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Gordon Simmons and Rev. Kerry Sharp officiating. Interment followed at Rosevine Cemetery. On Wednesday, January 31, 2024, Carol Louise Ferguson of Rosevine, Texas was called to her heavenly home. She passed from this life on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 in Lufkin surrounded by her family. She was 80 years young.

Carol was born August 6, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas to Jesse George Beavers and Eudora Elizabeth Frazier Beavers. In September of 1963, she married the love of her life, Bruce Kennard Ferguson. For fifty-eight of their wonderful 60 years together, Bruce and Carol resided at their beautiful homestead in Rosevine where they raised their three children and welcomed each son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchild, and great-grandson.

Throughout her life, Carol was devoted to her faith, her family, and her community. She exemplified the essence of a caretaker both professionally as a Licensed Vocational Nurse and in the loving care she provided for her family. She was always willing to help and did so with a nurturing spirit and the utmost kindness and care.

She was a dedicated member of the Rosevine United Pentecostal Church where she was affectionately known as Sis. Ferguson. She participated actively, not only attending services, but by contributing her time, treasure and talents to church events and fellowships, including mowing the church yard for many years. Her commitment was a true reflection of a servant's heart.

In addition to her church involvement, Carol loved to garden and can the fruits of her labor. As well, she enjoyed quilting, painting, and creating a warm and welcoming home. Among her many gifts, one of the greatest was her art of cooking. She put love into every meal prepared, loaves of bread baked, and delectable dessert crafted.

While she enjoyed her hobbies, interests, and activities, none compared to time spent with her family. Carol, aka mom and grandma to those closest to her, loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild more than anything. Time spent with them was her favorite and she treasured every opportunity to do so.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Bruce; daughters Sheila Kay Sharp and husband, Kerry, of Belton and Cynthia Lyn Foster and husband, Garland, also of Belton; son, George Calvin Ferguson and wife, Amy, of Richardson; multiple grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; brothers, Jesse William Beavers and wife, Olga, and Paul Beavers and fiance, Loretta, all of San Antonio; and sisters, Joan Marmentini of San Antonio and Miriam Kelley and husband, Gary, of Carthage along with countless other loved ones.
