CHARLES EDWARD HARVEY, SR.

Charles Edward Harvey, Sr., 78, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024. He was born on February 2, 1946, in Burkeville, Texas to parents, Lamar and Irene Opal Harvey. Charles was a hard-working individual who never met a stranger and was known for his generous nature. He worked as a Truck Driver for Overland Freight Frontier Trucking, traveling all over the United States.

In his free time, Charles loved spending time with his family and grandkids, as well as his beloved dog, Fat-Fat. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, pursuing his passion for the outdoors.

Charles is survived by his sons, Charles Edward Harvey, Jr. and wife Patricia of Bonaqua, Tennessee, Donald Jarma and wife Samantha of Georgia, Michael Bradley Harvey of Bonaqua, Tennessee, Brandon Harvey of Lufkin, Texas; daughters, Anita Patton and husband Don of Carthage, Texas, and Chasity Grims of Lufkin, Texas; sister, Darlene Harrigan and husband Donald of Fort Worth, Texas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lamar Harvey and Irene Opal Jarrels, and his wife, Shirley Ann Harvey.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Starr Funeral Home.

Charles Edward Harvey, Sr. will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
