Funeral services for Beatrice "Aunt Bea" Joyce Weathered, 77, of San Augustine will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Mr. Dena Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Dena Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2024 at Community Funeral Home in Center. She passed from this life on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Summit Nursing and Rehabilitation in San Augustine.

She was born July 21, 1946 in San Augustine County to the late Jim Bratchett and Merline Moody. She attended Mt. Dena Baptist Church. She is a Lincoln School alumni. Many have enjoyed her cooking at Fairway Farms and Sunset Hills Community Center.

She is survived by her sons, James Earl Weathered and wife, Linda, of Center, Marvin Earl Weathered of San Augustine, Calvin Earl Weathered of San Augustine, Anthony J. Weathered and wife, Latoya, of Terry, Mississippi and Alex C. Weathered and wife, Celina, of San Augustine; sisters, Rosie Bluford of San Augustine, Nancy Gray of Center, Carrie Boykins and husband, Eddie, of Center and Alma Walker and husband, Royce, of Center; a devoted niece, Stacey Garrett; uncle, Anthony Earl Jones and wife, Susie of Orange; aunts, Mollie Roberts of San Augustine, Patsy Ann Perkins of Jasper; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
