WILLIE RAE GAUDET

Funeral services for Willie Rae Gaudet, 92, of Hemphill, were held Monday, March 18, 2024 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Troy Richardson officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Sinai Cemetery. She passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Legacies Nursing and Rehab in Hemphill.

Willie Rae was born April 3, 1931 in Bleakwood, Texas. She was a resident of Newton before moving to Sabine County in 2005. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hemphill and a loving housewife and mother.

She is survived by her son, Steve Peel and wife, Vicky, of Kirbyville; daughter, LaWanna Curl and husband, Jerry, also of Kirbyville; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
