MARLIN BRIAN SHOFNER

Funeral services for Marlin Brian Shofner Sr., 66, of Shelbyville, were held Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Central Baptist Church with Bro. Danny Dodson officiating. Interment followed at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. He passed away March 10, 2024, in Houston, after fighting with cancer for nearly 4 years.

Born July 23, 1957, in Aberdeen, Washington, Mr. Marlin is the son of Oscar Howard Shofner and Pat Person. After graduating high school, he served three years in the United States Army. He made a profession of faith to our Lord and Savior in 1973, near Aberdeen, Washington. A faithful Christian, Mr. Marlin was a member of Central Baptist Church in Center. He loved gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian Shofner of Center; children, Hannah Shofner of Center and Marlin Shofner Jr. of Center; and brother, Eric Shofner.

Arrangements were under the direction of Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.
