GLADYS FAYE LYNCH

Funeral services for Gladys Faye Lynch, 67, of Hemphill were held Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Knox Chapel Baptist Church with interment following in Macedonia Cemetery. She was born on April 9, 1957 to the late Hilliot and Alice Gordon. She departed this life Monday, May 27, 2024.

She was a 1975 graduate of Hemphill High School. She was a member of Knox Chapel Baptist Church. Gladys enjoyed cooking and always blessing someone with a meal. She was loved by all that knew her. She had a heart of gold and was active in the community and always lending a helping hand anyway she could. Gladys was a home health provider to the elderly in Many, La.

She leaves to cherish her memories a special daughter/niece, Iyuana Gordon, grandchildren, LaShawna Johnson (Chris) of Austin, Tx, Shania Ballard (Tyler) of Lufkin, Tx, Christina Ward of Pineland, Tx, Lennon “Chris” Johnson II of Hemphill, Tx. and great granddaughter, Everleigh Johnson. Her sisters, Savannah Green of Shreveport, La, Berdia Gallien of Alexandria, La, and Agnes Green of Many, La. Her brothers, Phillip Gordon and Gerald Thomas both of Hemphill, Tx., along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Arrangements were under the direction of Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill.
