Funeral Services for Ralph Joseph Lord, 79, of Hemphill will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating. He passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Stonecreek Nursing Home in San Augustine, Texas. Burial will follow services in Harpers Chapel Cemetery with Chuck Latham, Harold Graff, Reggie Wilson, Edward Thompson, Bradly Stewart and Terry Markle serving as pallbearers.

Jo was born on December 23, 1943, in Hemphill, Texas to John Burton Lord, Sr. and Edna Youngblood Lord. He worked as a chip loader for Temple-Inland for many years and was a retired Minister. Jo loved to read, go fishing and play piano but most of all he loved to spend time with his family. He loved to joke and everyone enjoyed his sense of humor.

He is survived by his daughters, Alicia Garrett and husband, Rickey of Hemphill, and Stacey Walden and husband, Bobby of Hemphill; and grandchildren, Brennan, Bryce, Rickey, Jodi and Brittney.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlott Ann Lord; daughter, Ramona Lord Johnson; and grandchild, Bryton Bolton.
