KENNETH JOSEPH SHOOK

Graveside services for Kenneth Joseph Shook, age 72, of Hemphill, were held on Friday, Friday, June 21, 2024, in King Cemetery in Milan with Father Ron Foshage officiating. He passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024. He was born on March 8, 1952, in Hominy, Oklahoma, to Wilburn Shook and Jesse Mae Langan Shook.

Joe was an active outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He was also known for his culinary skills, enjoying grilling and smoking food. He loved music, both playing and singing. He had been in a band and played guitar and drums. He cherished moments spent with his family. Kenneth served in the Army National Guard and had a successful career as a Consultant in the Oil and Gas industry.

Joe is survived by his wife of 38 years to Tara Shook of Milam; his daughter, Samantha June Burrow, and husband Morgan, of Bronson; brother, Mike Shook of Bartlesville, OK; sister, Deborah Shook-Hippler, and husband Randy, of Livingston; grandchildren Anna Dover, Kyle Burrow, Kolyn Burrow, Madison Turnage, Braedyn Burrow, Lucas Burrow, and Paxton Burrow and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Joseph Preston Shook.
