Funeral services for Mercedes T. Martin, 33, of Center, will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at the Bennett Chapel Missionary Baptist Church located at 674 County Road 2582, Shelbyville, TX 75973 at 11:00 a.m. Bishop W. C. Martin will serve as Eulogist.  Memorial service visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bennett Chapel MBC. Burial will follow funeral services at Bennett Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Sid Roberts Funeral Home, Nacogdoches, TX. She passed away on July 22, 2025 in Dallas.

Born February 29, 1992 in Shelby County, Center, to Bishop W.C. Martin and Donna Cartwright Martin, Mercedes leaves to cherish and honor her sweet memory her parents Bishop W.C. and Lady Donna Martin of Center Texas; her two well-loved and beautiful daughters Madison Martin and MaKenzie Teal both of Center Texas; Noah Thompson who she called her “first baby”; sisters, La’Donna (Dwight) of Center; Terri (Foster sister) of Shreveport, Louisiana; four brothers, Princeton Martin of Center; Joshua Martin of Houston; Tyler Ray Martin of Center; and Terry Martin (Jessica) of Arkansas; God sister, Alyesha Gatlin; God brother, Caleb Mosley; One very special Great Aunt, Anna Ruth Walker (Nana) of Shelbyville; Loving God Parents, Michael and Evette Netherly of Center; God Brothers Se’Ryanand Myles Netherly, bonus sibling, Deanne Garrett, and a host of extremely loving, caring and special aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
