VERA JOYCE MATLOCK JONES

Funeral services for Mrs. Vera Joyce Matlock Jones, age 86, of San Augustine, will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, July 15, 2023 at True Vine Baptist Church with Pastor S.J. Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the Haley Bush Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2023. Mrs. Jones departed this physical life on July 08, 2023, at CHI St. Luke Health Memorial in San Augustine. She was born February 6, 1937.

She is survived by her son, Maverick Roberts and wife, Shelia, of San Augustine; daughter Vera McKenzie of Decatur, Ga; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Rosie Lee Matlock of Cypress; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Percy Garner and Son Mortuary.
