KURT DUANE BUTLER

Kurt Duane Butler, 66, born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas departed to his heavenly home on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

There he joined his mother Marceline Lewis, brother Stanley Joe Butler, and father Joe Butler. His wife, Francis Linda James, soon followed his lead.

Kurt was a friend to all and beloved by many- known by his contagious smile and desire to make others laugh. He served in the electric and gas industry being a respected employee of TXU and Atmos for over 40 years, where he retired.

He is survived by his little girl Angel James Butler, stepdaughters Toni Wolff and Linda McCue, in addition to 8 beautiful grandchildren, and his best friend and cousin, Dan (Tamera) Walker.

We would all like to thank Kurt for being a simple man. A man of hardwork, faith, integrity, compassion and support. A man you could depend on. God bless him! I love you, daddy. Wild horses couldn't drag me away. Wild, wild horses- we'll ride them some day!

A Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel in Hemphill, Texas.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to service.
