NORMAN CAROL REEVES, SR.

Norman Carol Reeves, Sr., 69, of Pineland, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at his residence.

Norman was born August 19, 1953 in Pineland to Ira Kirby Reeves and Arlie Wilma Fairsheet Reeves. He was a lifelong resident of Pineland and a graduate of West Sabine ISD. He worked on pipelines running heavy equipment and was a member of IUOE Local 798. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and playing on his trackhoe and he loved playing with his grandchildren and traveling. When he was home, he liked to watch westerns and hunting/fishing shows. He was a member of New Beginnings Church in Plainview.

Norman is survived by his wife of 29 years, Tena Worrell Reeves of Pineland; sons, Billy Williams of Pineland, Norman Reeves, Jr., and wife, Audra, of Nederland, Robert Reeves and wife, Holly, of Kilgore, and Cheyenne Dudley and wife, Jessica, of Lumberton; daughter, Stephanie Martin of Pineland and Lynn Reeves of Splendora; grandchildren, Katy Booker, Shelbie Martin, Kenady White and husband, Colton, Michael Martin and wife, Harlee, Karmyn Dudley, Audrey Johnson, Joseph King, Emma Williams, Eastin Williams, Tenlynn Moody, Austin Reeves, Landyn Chalupa-Harris, Evan and wife, Chelsea, Bethany and Braydon; great grandchildren, Harlynn Craig, Berklee Martin, Briggs Martin and River; brother, Loyd Reeves and wife, Cecilia; sister, Blanche Dunn; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kirby Reeves; mother, Arlie Reeves; brothers, Kirby Joe Reeves, Tommy Gene Reeves and James (Red) Reeves; and sisters, Wilma Simpson and Margerete Thornton.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2023 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 2023 in Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wayne Alford officiating.

Burial will follow services in Gravel Hill Cemetery with Blake Ponder, Colton White, Tyler Ferguson, Anthony Clark, Joseph King and Lil' D Worrell serving as pallbearers. Eastin Williams will be honorary pallbearer.
