JACK EDWARD LANE

Graveside services for Jack Edward Lane, 93, of Camp Wood, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2023 in Isaac Low Cemetery with Rev. Alverto Williams officiating. He passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas.

Jack was born June 21, 1930 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He served his country as a member of the United States Navy and was a member of the last graduating class of Oklahoma A&M before it became Oklahoma State University. There at A&M he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and went on to work in that field for more than 30 years with General Electric.
After retiring, he and his wife, Jean, lived in Hemphill for several years before moving to Camp Wood. While in Hemphill, they were members of First Methodist Church and were active in square dancing. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Jack is survived by his wife, Jean Lane of Camp Wood; son, Michael Allen Lane and wife, Margaret, of San Antonio; daughter, Mindy Lane of Fairbanks, Alaska; and numerous grandchildren.
