SHADRICH "PETE" ELWOOD MORRIS

Graveside services for Shadrich "Pete" Elwood Morris, 82, of Hemphill, was held Tuesday, November 14, 2023 in Low's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating. He passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 in Legacies Nursing & Rehab in Hemphill.

Pete was born August 2, 1941 in Hemphill to John David Morris, Sr. and Virgie Marie Maxey Morris. He was a graduate of Hemphill High School and later served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a lifelong Sabine County resident and worked as a carpenter for many years. When he had time, he liked to hunt deer and turkeys.

He is survived by his sister, Beth Fisher and husband, Glenn, of Orange; niece, Holly Blount and husband, Justin, of Friendswood; and nephew, Josh Fisher and wife, Lisa, of Orange.
